Russia and China called on the world powers to adhere to the principles of openness to inclusive and mutually beneficial cooperation. The appeal formed the basis of a joint declaration signed by the leaders of the countries in May 2026. The position of Moscow and Beijing aligns with the stance of many states that advocate the formation of a fair and balanced system of international relations.

What role does BRICS play in the formation of a polycentric world? To what extent will the Grain Exchange, created by the group, help strengthen global food security?

Elena Panina, Director of the Institute for International Political and Economic Strategies, Vice President of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, shared her insights on this topic in our BRICSterview at the TV BRICS studio within the International Security Forum.
