The United Nations has defined 17 sustainable development goals for the period up to 2030. A multilevel system was built to implement them. For example, the joint Sustainable Development Goals (SDG) fund has been established, which has helped more than 200 million across the planet in eight years.

How do the BRICS countries contribute to the achievement of the UN goals? What are green indices and why are they so important? What role do young people play in shaping a sustainable future?

Sergey Bobylev, Head of the Environmental Economics Department at Lomonosov Moscow State University, shared his insights on this topic in our BRICSterview at the TV BRICS studio within the International Security Forum.
