Iran's exports to Latin America reach 436 million tonnes

15 Latin American countries welcomed Iranian goods

In the first four months of the current Iranian calendar year (March 20 to July 21), Iran increased its exports of goods to Latin American countries to 436 million tonnes worth US$136 million, a record increase of 680 per cent compared to the same period last year. This is reported by Tehran Times, a partner of TV BRICS.

According to the latest Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA) data, the weight of exported goods in the said countries also increased by 18 million tonnes during the period.

During these four months, Iran has shipped goods to 15 different Latin American countries including Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Grenada, Mexico, Peru, Paraguay, El Salvador, Uruguay and Venezuela.

Brazil has become the main market for Iranian goods, importing more than 435 tonnes of products from the Islamic Republic. It was followed by Venezuela, Cuba, Colombia and Mexico.

Urea, aircraft engine components and parts, agricultural tractors, chain gears and wire are among the most exported products to Latin American countries during the period.
