2026 and 2027 were declared by Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping as mutual Years of Cooperation between countries in the field of education. Today, more than 56 thousand students from China are learning the basics of various professions in Russia, and at least 20 thousand Russians are studying in the Celestial Empire.

Why are Russian universities popular among applicants from China and other BRICS countries? What stage is the process of mutual recognition of diplomas of universities of the BRICS countries at now?
