Brazil has launched a project to develop a new generation of artificial intelligence-powered industrial robots that will help businesses monitor equipment condition and improve production efficiency. This was reported by Brasil 247, a TV BRICS partner.
The Brazilian Development Bank has approved funding for the initiative. A total of approximately US$21.5 million will be allocated for research, technology development, the purchase of necessary equipment and the formation of a team of specialists.
The project is expected to create more than 400 new jobs, most of them related to engineering, research and the implementation of innovative technologies. Several patents for new technical solutions are also planned to be registered.
The development of the intelligent automated industrial equipment diagnostics system is scheduled to be completed by June 2028.
