The member states of the group are among the world's largest producers of food and agricultural products, and Thailand is interested in purchasing them. The country is also seeking cooperation in the transport sector and information technology. This was stated by Vladimir Kovalev, Executive Director of the Russia–Thailand Business Council, in an exclusive interview at the TV BRICS studio in the Roscongress International Cooperation Area at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
