Iranian juniors claim gold at Asian Shooting Championships

India followed closely behind with a team score of 1716 to take silver

Iran’s junior shooting team claimed the gold medal in the 10-metre air pistol team event on the opening day of the Asian Shooting Championships, currently taking place in Shymkent, Kazakhstan. This was reported by Alalam News Network, a partner of TV BRICS.

The trio of Mohammad Reza Ahmadi, Amir Hossein Johari, and Mohammad Mahdi Jobin secured first place with a combined score of 1721 points. India followed closely behind with a team score of 1716 to take silver.

In the individual competition, Ahmadi captured the bronze medal with a solid final performance. His teammates, Johari and Jobin, finished in fourth and fifth places respectively, rounding off a successful day for the Iranian delegation.
