Nicolas Maduro says Venezuela considers co-operation with BRICS in oil and gas sectors

The country is interested in the projects discussed by the group's countries


Venezuela may transfer to the BRICS countries the rights to develop oil and gas deposits on its territory. This was announced at a press conference by the President of the state Nicolas Maduro.

According to his statements, BRICS is a giant and safe market for national producers with good prices.

"The biggest investments we have now in the oil and gas sector comes from BRICS countries"

He also emphasised that Venezuela is interested in participating in the projects discussed by the countries of the association.

Earlier, Venezuelan authorities also confirmed that Maduro had received an invitation to attend the BRICS+ summit in Kazan in October.
