During the BRICS Dialogue, experts to discuss solutions to issues affecting the group's countries and the world at large
The BRICS Dialogue with the participation of leading academics, policymakers and researchers will take place on 26 April from 15:00 to 16:00 (UST+).
The event is organised by the Durban University of Technology in cooperation with the South African BRICS Think Tank and National Institutefor the Humanities and Social Science (NIHSS). TV BRICS is a media partner.
Since its foundation, BRICS member states have actively participated in international multinational forums and are working to raise the profile of the Global South in international politics. The BRICS alliance maintains its strength and becomes the 'strategic pillar' of this new global system.
Its members have established several mechanisms in different sectors - trade, finance, agriculture, diplomacy, culture and education. In addition, the BRICS Business Council, the Working Group on Agriculture and the BRICS Think Tank Council were formed.
The BRICS Dialogue is a platform for sharing knowledge and ideas on different themes and issues. The dialogue is a joint initiative of academic institutions from the BRICS nations to fortify conversations amongst academia, policymakers, researchers, and people. Such subjects include multilateralism, trade relations, skilling the workforce, and improving sustainable livelihood and financing within BRICS.
BRICS Dialogues are aligned with the BRICS presidency’s theme to gunner participation from representatives of the five member states and representatives from BRICS+ countries to discuss and deliver on issues concerning BRICS countries and the world. At the first attempt, the dialogue will host four BRICS Dialogues, three online and the last one in a face-to-face format.
