Indian Pickleball players win six medals in an international competition
Players of the All India Pickleball Association showcased their skills at a tournament held in Thailand. The athletes won six medals, including two gold medals and one silver medal. This is reported by ANI, a partner of TV BRICS.
Tejas Mahajan and Vanshik Kapadia won gold in the open men's doubles category. In the team event, with the combined efforts of ten players, the team also bagged the first place.
In the open mixed doubles category, the Indian athletes won silver and bronze, while in the women's doubles, they won a second bronze medal.
Pickleball is a sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Two or four players hit a perforated plastic ball through a net with rackets or paddles until one side can return the ball or breaks the rules.
