Iran unveils 6 artificial intelligence megaprojects to maintain energy balance

The initiative is expected to strengthen national technological sovereignt

Tehran has launched a strategic initiative to harness artificial intelligence in maintaining energy balance, with six national-scale AI megaprojects now in development. This is reported by Tehran Times, a partner of TV BRICS.

The initiative focuses on applying AI across critical sectors, including energy efficiency, digital infrastructure, and integrated ecosystem governance.

Experts emphasised the need for nationwide collaboration, particularly from knowledge-based firms, to ensure successful implementation.

The Ministry of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) is now actively promoting an ecosystem-based approach that fosters data-sharing and cooperation among public agencies, the source claims.

The six AI megaprojects include a flagship programme for energy management, which will deploy intelligent algorithms to detect and reduce excessive energy consumption in the industrial sector.

The initiative is expected to enhance infrastructure resilience and strengthen national technological sovereignty.
