Moscow to host II International Symposium "Inventing the Future"

The conference will bring together experts from around the world

More than 7,000 participants from the SCO, BRICS, Asia-Pacific, and European countries will gather on 7-8 October 2025 at the Russia National Centre in Moscow for the II International Symposium "Inventing the Future". The event, whose media partner is TV BRICS, is organised on behalf of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Symposium participants will discuss demographic trends and global urbanisation, strategies for international scientific and technological cooperation, and digital space.

Speaking at the exhibition of the National Centre "Regions-2030. Platform of the Future," First Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Administration Sergey Kiriyenko noted the importance of regional development for global dialogue in the future.

"It is important for a region to be able to showcase not only its history but also its prospects for development. This is of interest not only to the people of Russia, but to the whole world. That is why the vast majority of countries in the world will soon gather at the National Centre of Russia," he said.

The symposium programme is structured around three key tracks. The "Global Cooperation" programme will focus on interaction with African countries and the Global South, analysis of humanitarian initiatives and the search for unifying values. At the same time, the symposium will also feature the “Society” and "Technology" tracks, which will address cybersecurity and biotechnology.

The moderator of one of the discussions, “AI without borders: unification as a driver of success in shaping the future”, will be Kristina Muravyova, Executive Producer of the TV BRICS International Media Network. The speakers will also include Zhou Liqun, Chairman of the Union of Chinese Entrepreneurs, and Amor Maclang, Co-founder and Secretary-General of the International Digital Economies Association (iDEA) and Head of Digital Pilipinas.

During the session, experts will discuss the impact of artificial intelligence on the global economy and the creation of new social institutions built around trust in data. The participants will also highlight the growing importance of BRICS+ integration and its role in the establishment of alternative technology centres independent of monopolies.

The symposium will result in positive forecasts for global development, which will be open for discussion. Government and scientific figures, technology leaders, representatives of creative industries, and young professionals will participate in their development. For the first time, an open educational programme will be organised for a wide audience.

The international symposium "Inventing the Future" is a key platform for developing positive scenarios for the development of civilisation. The first symposium brought together more than 6,000 participants from 101 countries, including representatives of government, business, the scientific community and creative industries from the BRICS, SCO, and CIS countries.
