Russian Deputy Prime Minister and President of NDB discuss current economic situation in world

They held a meeting at the Boao Asian Forum in China

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexey Overchuk discussed the current economic situation in the world with Dilma Rousseff, President of the BRICS New Development Bank (NDB).

During the meeting, they touched upon such topics as current economic trends, the bank's work in Russia and the country's priorities regarding the NDB.

Qiangwu Zhou, Vice President and Chief Administration Officer said that the New BRICS Development Bank intends to issue loans worth about US$5 billion this year. This is reported by Brasil 247, a partner of TV BRICS.

"Our business suffered a bit during the epidemic, but now things are getting back to normal," Zhou said on an annual forum in Boao.

Established in 2001, the Boao Asia Forum is a non-governmental and non-profit international organisation dedicated to analysing global and regional economic trends and promoting trade and economic exchanges and integration processes in Asia.
