Thailand's tourism sector sees significant growth in early 2025
11 million visitors bring US$16 billion as chinese tourists lead the surge
Thailand's tourism industry experienced a strong surge in the first months of 2025. The country had welcomed over 11.27 million international visitors, generating more than US$16 billion in revenue.
Chinese tourists topped the list with 1.52 million arrivals, followed by visitors from Malaysia, Russia, India, and South Korea. Although tourist numbers dipped temporarily after the Songkran festival this spring, as reported by Vietnam News Agency (VNA), a partner of TV BRICS.
The Thai government expressed gratitude to its citizens for contributing to the country’s positive international image. It also reaffirmed its commitment to sustainable economic growth through tourism-friendly policies and enhanced global engagement.
