TV BRICS channels to showcase cultural diversity of participating countries during G20 summit in South Africa

More than 100 media partners from 30 countries will be involved in distributing TV BRICS materials about the summit

The TV BRICS International Media Network has developed special broadcast programming for its television channels for the duration of the G20 summit in the Republic of South Africa. From 21 to 23 November, the schedule will consist of special news bulletins, themed programmes and documentaries about the countries belonging to the G20 and BRICS. The main focus will be on Argentina, Brazil, Egypt, India, Indonesia, China, Russia, South Africa, and other states of the African continent.

"The television channels of TV BRICS are preparing extensive coverage of the G20 summit, which will be held for the first time on the African continent. Our film crew will be working in Johannesburg. Leading experts from various countries will help to analyse developments and the outcomes of the meeting: their comments will accompany the latest updates in the news bulletins. For the last three years, the G20 has been chaired by countries that are also members of BRICS: India, Brazil, and South Africa. Therefore, once again, we expect a broad dialogue on socio-economic and financial issues, as well as trade and investment policy. At the same time, during the summit, the 24-hour TV BRICS channels will present, through the programmes and films of our media network partners, the beauty of different national cultures in order to give the high-level meeting a more comprehensive character and highlight the humanitarian aspect of international relations"
Ksenia Komissarova

During the summit, the best documentaries and programmes by TV BRICS and its media network partners from Argentina, Brazil, India, Iran, Mozambique, Nigeria, and Russia will be broadcast. Viewers will be able to watch, for example, the international media project on food security “BRICS Grain” and the popular science programme " Laboratorium". Expert interviews for “BRICSterview” will be given by Lubarto Sartoyo, President of the Alliance of Business Structures and Entrepreneurs of ASEAN Countries; Tatyana Dovgalenko, Director of the Department for Partnership with Africa at the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Maya Nikolskaya, Head of the "Africa in the Focus of Russian Interests" programme at the MGIMO; the Chinese-American geophysicist Ho-Kwang Mao; the Director of the Argentine portal AsiaTv, Marcelo Ramirez; and the Brazilian artist Vivian Caccuri.

The G20 summit will also receive comprehensive media support on the TV BRICS portal. The BRICS & G20 media project, involving state, public and academic figures, journalists and experts from different countries, will be available in six language versions.

All TV BRICS informational and analytical materials about the G20 summit in Johannesburg will be widely disseminated through the media network, which brings together more than 100 partners from over 30 countries. In the African region alone, TV BRICS cooperates with media outlets in Egypt, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Mozambique, Nigeria, Tunisia, Ethiopia, and South Africa.
