Ethiopia's Ambassador to Moscow: We expect a big increase in trade within BRICS

The Congress Centre of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Russian Federation hosted the Russian-Ethiopian Business Forum with the participation of the Ethiopian delegation

Ethiopia's Ambassador to Moscow Uriat Cham Ugala contribute to the development of a new era of relations between Russia and Ethiopia.

"Last week there was a big meeting of BRICS Sherpas and sous-sherpas. So BRICS will be another platform where we can explore our relations," the ambassador said.

He also said Ethiopia expects trade with the countries of the grouping to grow.

"We are expecting a big increase in trade volume within BRICS. In this regard, it is very important to agree on payment systems between Ethiopia and Russia and other BRICS members," Uriat Cham Ugala said.

The event was attended by representatives of major Ethiopian companies involved in exporting agricultural products such as coffee and flowers, as well as representatives of international investment projects in various sectors: construction, real estate, tourism, metallurgy, light industry.
