Russia is ready to increase supplies of goods to the Thai market. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Dmitry Patrushev during a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand Suriya Juangroongruangkit at the Russian Embassy in Thailand. His remarks were reported by Thai PBS, a partner of TV BRICS.

The Kingdom of Thailand is the Russian Federation’s oldest partner in Southeast Asia. Next year, we will celebrate the 130th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations. I hope that we will continue to maintain full-fledged contacts in all areas: political, trade and economic. I believe that our meeting today will contribute to the development of bilateral cooperation between our countries

The meeting also addressed the issue of supplying chemical fertilisers to Thailand.

The Russian Deputy Prime Minister noted that in 2025 the volume of trade in agricultural products and foodstuffs between Russia and Thailand increased by more than 15 per cent.

Earlier it was reported that the two countries are expanding cooperation through joint projects and investments in the creative industries. Russian companies are also interested in cooperation with Thailand in the fields of pharmaceuticals, IT and tourism.
