Shipments reached 3.03 million 60-kilogramme bags in July, with conilon coffee recording particularly strong growth
Brazil exported 3.03 million 60-kilogramme bags of coffee of all types, including green and processed products, in July, according to the monthly statistical report. The figure was 9.9 per cent higher than in July 2025 and marked the first month of the 2026/27 coffee season, which runs from July to June, as reported by Safras, a partner of TV BRICS.
Revenue from coffee exports totalled US$903.9 million in July. The country shipped 20.897 million bags during the first seven months of 2026, generating US$7.449 billion in export revenue. Compared with the same period of 2025, shipments decreased by 5.9 per cent, while revenue declined by 13.1 per cent.
Conilon coffee was a major contributor to July's export performance. Brazil shipped 851,235 bags of conilon, an 84.4 per cent increase from the same month last year. Between January and July 2026, exports of the variety reached 3.387 million bags, up 73.5 per cent year on year.
Arabica remained the leading type of Brazilian coffee exported during the first seven months of the year, accounting for 14.987 million bags, or 71.7 per cent of total shipments. The harvest of Coffea canephora, which includes conilon and robusta, has now reached its final stage, with only a small volume remaining to be collected.
The final stages of the harvest are expected to support the continuation of coffee shipments in the new season. Experts noted that the conilon and robusta crop has delivered a positive overall result, particularly in terms of quality.
