TV BRICS to present programme for promoting Russian agricultural exports in BRICS+ countries

The partnership between TV BRICS and FSBI "Agroexport" is aimed at creating a positive image of the Russian agricultural sector in the global media space

The TV BRICS International Media Network will support the promotion of Russian agro-industrial products in the foreign markets of BRICS+ countries. At the 28th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a corresponding cooperation agreement was signed by Chairman of TV BRICS Ivan Polyakov and Director of the Federal Centre for Agricultural Export Development of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia (FSBI "Agroexport") Ilya Ilyushin.

The joint activities of the partners will aim to build a positive image of Russia’s agricultural sector in the global information space by showcasing national industry-leading companies, promoting Russian products abroad, and involving agricultural and processing enterprises in export activities.

"Media play an important role in supporting Russia’s agro-industrial complex, helping to promote products in foreign markets and form a positive image of the industry. Today we face a crucial task – to develop a global dialogue among friendly nations. "I am confident that cooperation with TV BRICS will enable us to promptly deliver all necessary information about the development of trade relations among BRICS countries to a multibillion audience," said Ilya Ilyushin, Head of the Federal Centre "Agroexport.

Ivan Polyakov, Chairman of TV BRICS, emphasised that ensuring food security and promoting the sustainable development of agriculture is one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, and therefore this topic holds a priority place in the network’s agenda.

For instance, TV BRICS successfully implemented a series of television films titled "Agroparallels" in cooperation with its Brazilian partner Agro+ TV, dedicated to cooperation between the two countries in the field of agricultural industry.

Ivan Polyakov also announced the upcoming premiere in 2025 of a new television project, "BRICS GRAIN", aimed at sustainable agricultural development, support for agricultural diplomacy, and strengthening cooperation between Russia and the countries of the Global South and East.

The Federal Centre "Agroexport" is a knowledge and competence hub in the field of agricultural exports, established by the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. It coordinates and monitors the implementation of the federal project "Agro-Industrial Exports", as well as cooperates with agro-industrial management bodies in the implementation of regional projects and the development of Russia’s export potential. "Agroexport" possesses unique expertise in foreign market analysis, trade barrier assessment, product promotion and positioning, consultancy on state support programmes for agro-industrial exporters, and the organisation of export-related events. "Agroexport" actively assists Russian exporters in obtaining information on promising foreign markets and building direct communication with international buyers of Russian agricultural products.
