Agricultural trade turnover between Russia and UAE increases by 30% in 2024

The Russian Federation supplies the country with cereals and pulses, as well as meat products

Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Patrushev visited an international exhibition of products for the hotel and restaurant business in Dubai and met with UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Maktoum bin Mohammed Al Maktoum. This is reported by the press service of the Russian Government.

At the exhibition, Patrushev emphasised the strategic nature of Russia's partnership with the Gulf states in the field of agro-industrial complex. According to him, the country supplies the region with major agricultural products, including cereals and pulses, as well as meat products.

"Last year the trade turnover of agricultural products and food between Russia and the United Arab Emirates increased by 30 per cent. At the same time, Russian exports also increased by 30 per cent," Patrushev said.

He specified that in January 2025, the volume of trade with the UAE doubled compared to the same period in 2024.

At the meeting with the UAE Deputy Prime Minister, Moscow and Abu Dhabi discussed cooperation in agriculture and financial and banking spheres. The Russian side confirmed its readiness to increase supplies of meat and confectionery products.
