Co-operation with RSUH will give a new impetus to the TV BRICS educational agenda in the BRICS media space

Interaction between the parties will allow the Russian Federation to expand its international humanitarian influence

As part of the International Scientific Futurological Forum "Smart Civilisation: Man, Values, Education, Technology and the Future of the Multipolar World", a cooperation agreement was signed between TV BRICS and the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH).

The cooperation with Russian State University for the Humanities will give a new impetus to the TV BRICS educational agenda in the media space of the countries of the association, will highlight the Russian approach to education and youth policy, expand the international humanitarian influence of the Russian Federation, promote the prestige of Russian education, achievements of Russian researchers and scientists with the help of foreign national media.

Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS, emphasised that the media network already covers the university's international initiatives. The news about the visit to Brazil of the delegation of the Centre "Diplomacy of Knowledge" of RSUH and ANO «Umnaya Tsivilizatsiya» (Smart Civilisation) is being prepared for publication on the resources of Brazilian media – TV BRICS partners.

She noted that the media should give deserved attention to topics related to the sphere of education, news of the academic and student community. This approach will contribute to the formation of a constructive international information agenda, the creation of a unified information and educational space of expert level.

In turn, Olga Pavlenko, First Vice-Rector – Vice-Rector for Research of the Russian State University for the Humanities, said that it is necessary to develop joint international projects.

"Co-operation with TV BRICS is very important for us, as RSUH is developing many projects related at the bilateral level with BRICS countries. We interact with Indian major universities, we have close co-operation with the Chinese University of International Business and Economics – it is a key national university. We are now launching network educational programmes with Brazilian universities, so BRICS is a very important, key topic for us. And given that TV BRICS is actively entering the media environment as a major player, given Russia's upcoming chairmanship in the association, we consider our co-operation with the media network as a strategic partnership," she said.

It should be noted that TV BRICS is consistently developing co-operation with universities in the five countries, including those that are members of the BRICS Network University. Today, TV BRICS co-operates with more than 30 educational institutions of the alliance countries.

TV BRICS has entered into a co-operation agreement for the promotion of Russian as a foreign language directly with the Ministry of the State of Rio de Janeiro. This partnership at the state level allows TV BRICS to become a communicator, a bridge between Russian universities and educational institutions in Brazil, contributing not only to the promotion of the Russian language and Russian culture in Brazil, but also to the development of interstate relations in the field of education.

The International Scientific Futurological Forum "Smart Civilisation: Man, Values, Education, Technology and the Future of the Multipolar World" is designed to bring to a new level the discussion of international humanitarian influence of different countries in the field of education and the third sector, world trends in the work of NGOs.

The event was attended by: Valery Fadeev, Advisor to the President of Russia and Chairman of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights; Konstantin Mogilevsky, Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of Russia; Alexander Chubaryan, Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences; Sandeep Marwah, Member of the Advisory Board of the Ministry of Education of India; Bo Wang, Professor at the The University of International Business and Economics (China); Srikanth Kondapalli, Dean of the Faculty of International Relations of Jawaharlal Nehru University (New Delhi, India); Feliciano de Sa Guimoraes, Academic Director of the Brazilian Centre for International Relations (CEBRI) and Garth Le Pere, Extraordinary Professor at the University of Pretoria (South Africa).
