Sheikh Khaled pledges sustained cooperation in energy, transport, digital infrastructure, and food security under the BRICS framework
Khaled bin Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, emphasised the UAE’s commitment to sustained cooperation with Kazakhstan across multiple strategic sectors, as reported by Kazinform, a partner of TV BRICS.
Speaking at the Akorda presidential palace, he congratulated President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, on Defender of the Fatherland Day and Victory Day, praising the resilience of the Kazakh people and honouring the country’s veterans.
Khaled emphasised that bilateral relations have grown steadily in recent years, notably in energy, transport, logistics, and digital infrastructure. “Our partnership has strengthened through collaborative projects in these key areas,” he said, as both sides signed agreements to advance their shared priorities.
In the energy sphere, the Crown Prince announced plans to promote renewable sources, including the development of a major wind farm in Zhambyl Oblast. He also highlighted co-operation on airport modernisation and expanded cargo links, affirming: “We look forward to enhancing logistics networks that will bolster trade between our nations.”
Digital transformation was another focal point of the discussions. Khaled revealed new joint initiatives in artificial intelligence, supercomputing, and smart-city services, noting that these projects will support Kazakhstan’s vision of a technologically advanced, sustainable economy.
Agricultural innovation and food security also featured prominently. The Crown Prince stressed the importance of agri-technology and joint efforts to ensure long-term food resilience, adding that “we see strong opportunities to explore new markets and funding in these strategic sectors.”
Khaled’s official visit to Astana marks a significant step in deepening UAE-Kazakhstan ties, reflecting a shared commitment to sustainable development, technological innovation, and regional stability, according to experts.
