Egypt and UAE expand cooperation to train African experts in water and agriculture

Cairo and Abu Dhabi partner to develop joint training programmes for African water and agriculture specialists through digital learning initiatives

Egypt and the United Arab Emirates have agreed to enhance cooperation in water management and capacity building across Africa through advanced digital education and training programmes. The initiative aims to empower professionals in the field of water resources and agriculture, supporting sustainable development and food security across the continent, as reported by Sada El-Balad, a partnert of TV BRICS.

Officials of both countries met to discuss joint efforts in developing digital capacity-building schemes. The discussions focused on launching remote and in-person training programmes for Egyptian and African participants.

The two sides agreed to coordinate efforts to design and deliver specialised training courses tailored for African nations, enhancing technical expertise and enabling professionals to address modern challenges in water management and sustainable agriculture.

The initiative aims to expand access to quality education worldwide by integrating modern digital tools and innovative teaching methods. Its collaboration with Egypt’s Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation marks an important step towards combining education, technology, and sustainability to advance regional development.
