Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani: Iran to develop relations with Russia and China
At a press conference in Tehran, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Nasser Kanaani said that developing relations with countries such as China and Russia is a foreign policy priority for the new Iranian government. This is reported by CCTV+, a partner of TV BRICS.
Kanaani noted that the new government will continue to deepen ties with China and Russia. He stressed the need to carefully analyse and implement this strategy and actively cooperate with this countries to develop new cooperation documents.
"Iran will earnestly develop relations with countries such as Russia and China, continue relevant cooperation, implement signed documents and agreements, and base its actions on the shared aspiration of Iran and its partners," Kanaani said.
He added that regional cooperation is the best way to overcome differences and achieve development.
In addition, Kanaani said Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will attend the BRICS summit to be held in the Russian city of Kazan in October. He noted that participation in the BRICS co-operation mechanism represents an important opportunity for Iran's development and is in line with the country's national interests. Iran will continue to actively interact with other BRICS countries to achieve mutual development.
