Trade is conducted with 195 countries worldwide
China, Russia and Kazakhstan were among Uzbekistan’s top three trading partners in the first half of 2026. This was reported on the website of the National Statistics Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
From January to June 2026, the country conducted trade with 195 countries worldwide. China ranked first in Uzbekistan’s foreign trade turnover with US$9.5 billion, followed by Russia in second place (US$7 billion) and Kazakhstan in third (US$2.8 billion).
Uzbekistan’s top 10 trading partners also include the United Arab Emirates (US$807.7 million) and Kyrgyzstan (US$624.6 million).
According to Akchabar, a partner of TV BRICS, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan had agreed to develop free economic and industrial zones. The memorandum of understanding signed on joint activities in this area provides for the development of a partnership in the creation and management of such zones and the exchange of experience and best practices, as well as joint efforts to attract investment.
