Trade turnover between Russia and UAE increases 1.5-fold to record US$14 billion in 2025
Positive dynamics in cooperation are being observed across a wide range of areas
Trade turnover between Russia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) reached a historic high, amounting to US$14 billion by the end of 2025, First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Denis Manturov stated. The Deputy Prime Minister spoke about this during a meeting with President of the UAE Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan in Abu Dhabi, according to the Russian government website. Manturov visited the UAE on a working visit.
"Trade and economic ties are expanding successfully. Trade turnover between our countries increased by 1.5 times last year and reached a historic maximum of US$14 billion. We expect the Agreement on Economic Partnership between the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) and the United Arab Emirates to enter into force by the end of this year, which will contribute to improving the quality of trade and achieving greater balance in it"![]()

During the talks, the parties noted the positive dynamics of cooperation in the industrial, agricultural and energy sectors; in the field of high technology; as well as in humanitarian areas.
The expansion of cooperation is expected to become an important addition to the Russian-Emirati agreements signed last year on free trade in services and on the elimination of double taxation.
In addition, on 25 May, President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed laws ratifying the Agreement on Economic Partnership between the EAEU and the UAE, as well as the Russian-Emirati intergovernmental Agreement on Trade in Services and Investment.
In December this year, Russia and the UAE will mark the 55th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
