UAE to increase foreign trade to US$108.9 billion by 2031

In the first six months of 2024, exports have equalled the annual volume of 2019

UAE's foreign trade volume aimed at nearly US$1,09 trillion, and non-oil exports grew by 25 per cent. This is reported by Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.

In the first half of 2024, the UAE's non-oil exports to 10 key trading partners grew by 28.7 per cent, while trade with the rest of the world grew by 12.6 per cent. Gold, jewellery, oils, aluminium, copper wires, printed materials, silverware, iron and steel products, and perfumes emerged as the most important export categories.

The UAE's non-oil imports in the first half of 2024 were aimed at nearly US$217 billion, an increase of 11.3 per cent over the same period in 2023. Most of these imports are for re-export.
