2025 to be celebrated as ASEAN-India Tourism Year
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has proposed to declare 2025 the ASEAN-India Tourism Year and to organise a number of joint events to develop strategic partnership. The Indian Prime Minister said this while addressing the 21st ASEAN-India Summit held in Vientiane.
Adressing a special briefing on Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Laos, Ministry of External Affairs Secretary (East) Jaideep Mazumdar, informed that year 2025 will be celebrated as the year of the ASEAN-India Year of Tourism. This is reported by ANI, a partner of TV BRICS.
He also suggested organising a number of events between India and ASEAN countries, including a music festival, a youth summit, a startup festival.
The Indian Prime Minister also called for organising an annual Conclave of Women Scientists and organising a workshop on Green Hydrogen between experts from India and ASEAN countries.
Prime Minister Modi was on a two-day visit to Laos from October 10-11 at the invitation of Laos counterpart Sonexay Siphandone. He attended the 21st ASEAN-India summit and the 18th East Asia Summit.
