Argentina unveils new ambulances and mobile health units
It accelerates emergency response and streamlines patient transfers in San Juan
Governor Marcelo Orrego delivered new emergency vehicles to San Juan’s hospitals and health divisions. This is reported by Ahora San Juan, a partner of TV BRICS.
Twelve fully equipped ambulances have been distributed to public hospitals spanning eight departments. The initiative aims to improve response times and patient transfers during medical emergencies.
In addition, the Zoonosis section of the Epidemiology Division received two mobile operating theatres, and the Provincial Immunisation Programme took delivery of a mobile vaccination centre.
Health officials say the new vehicles will expand the reach and efficiency of emergency services, particularly in remote areas where transfer times have historically been a challenge.
The mobile operating theatres will support outbreak response and field surgeries, while the vaccination centre is expected to accelerate immunisation campaigns in underserved communities.
The ceremony emphasised the provincial government’s pledge to modernize healthcare delivery and ensure that critical services keep pace with growing public health needs.
