During Lula's rule, Brazil's economy has seen positive changes. The unemployment rate fell to its lowest level since 2015 and the average real income of workers increased by 3.8 per cent as of January 2024.
The total number of employed people rose by 0.4 per cent to 100.593 million, up 2.0 per cent from November to January 2023.
Among the activities in the quarterly comparison are transport, storage and post (+4.5 per cent), information, communication and finance, real estate, professional and administrative activities (+1.9 per cent) and other services (+3.1 per cent). This is reported by Brasil 247, a partner of TV BRICS.
In January 2024, the unemployment rate stood at 7.6 per cent, which was lower than expected and led to an increase in workers' real income.
