Indian Prime Minister and UAE President discuss enhancing cooperation in key areas

They expressed keenness to strengthen bilateral relations

UAE's President Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan held a telephone conversation with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The two sides discussed the development of a comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, reports Emirates News Agency (WAM), a partner of TV BRICS.

The Indian Head of Government and the UAE's President expressed their desire to further strengthen bilateral relations in the interests of sustainable development and prosperity of the peoples of the two states.

Emphasis was placed on enhancing opportunities for cooperation in key areas and deepening mutual understanding.

Al Nahyan also congratulated Modi on becoming the second longest-serving Head of Government in India's history, wishing him success in serving the country. For his part, the Prime Minister thanked the UAE's President for his kind words and support for India and its people.

In April, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE's Deputy Prime Minister Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum arrived in India on a visit. He discussed economy, trade, investment, technology, health, and education with Modi. It was reported at the time that the countries plan to increase trade to US$100 billion by 2030.
