The international premiere of TV BRICS film The Golden Coast of the Arctic takes place in Brazil
The documentary film is dedicated to the development of the mining industry in the Russian Federation
The Brazilian TV channel COM Brasil premiered the documentary film TV BRICS "The Golden Coast of the Arctic" (2023, 24 min., directed by Andrey Porshnyak, author of the film Ksenia Komissarova) about the development of the mining industry in Russia.
Two hundred kilometres from Pevek, the northernmost city of the Russian Federation, lies Mayskoye, one of the largest gold deposits in the world. As many years ago, people from the Big Earth help to explore the permafrost territory. They come to the Golden Coast of the Arctic to find solutions to non-trivial problems in harsh climatic and geological conditions – to achieve something that is difficult for an ordinary person to imagine even in theory.
TV BRICS' is special project is about new technologies that make hard labour in the Far North easier and safer.
"It is great that thanks to the co-operation between COM Brasil and TV BRICS, the people of Brazil were able to travel to the Golden Coast of the Arctic: they got to know those who live and work in Chukotka and learnt the history of this amazing region. In my opinion, it is always fascinating to see another country, even if it is a TV trip. I am sure that our film was able to impress the Brazilian audience: spectacular shots, memorable details, exclusive information. We tried to make it understandable and interesting for the viewers of all BRICS countries. As well as all other content produced by TV BRICS: we adapt it into foreign languages and distribute it through our partner network"![]()
