Trade turnover between Russia and Kazakhstan grows to US$28 billion
Russia ranked second in the list of Kazakhstan's trade partners
At the end of 2024, the trade volume between Russia and Kazakhstan exceeded US$28 billion, and Russian exports increased by almost 5 per cent.
The main growth came from machinery, transport, chemicals and minerals, according to the Kazinform, a partner of TV BRICS.
It is noted that more than 70 major investment projects with Russian participation are being implemented in Kazakhstan. We are talking about the automotive industry, agricultural machinery, pharmaceuticals, and digital technologies.
In addition, in 2024, the tourist flow between the countries exceeded 4.8 million trips – Kazakhstan became one of the three most popular foreign destinations for Russians.
