Film The Golden Coast of the Arctic is shown at Russian-Brazilian intercultural school

The film was presented at a lesson on the basics of Russian culture

At the Russian-Brazilian school in Rio de Janeiro, located in the municipality of Belford Roxo, the documentary film "The Golden Coast of the Arctic" was shown during a lesson on the basics of Russian culture. The film is about new technologies used at the Mayskoye gold deposit, one of the largest in the world.

The documentary film produced by TV BRICS "The Golden Coast of the Arctic" (2023, 24 min., directed by Andrey Porshnyak, written by Ksenia Komissarova) tells about researchers of permafrost territories. They come to the Arctic to find solutions to non-trivial problems in harsh climatic and geological conditions – to achieve something that is difficult for an ordinary person to imagine even in theory.

"Through this film, students were able to reflect on the relationship between visitors to the region and the indigenous peoples of the Arctic, the human impact on the environment, and how humans are adapting to challenging climatic conditions through technology"

Patricia De Aguiar Dantas Caralo Teacher of Russian Cultural Basics

TV BRICS International Media Network has been a partner of the Department of Education of the State of Rio de Janeiro since June 2023. The parties assist each other in promoting the Russian language and help build new business contacts. One of the results of the interaction between the partners was the co-operation between the media network and a Russian-Brazilian school that opened in 2022.

The students of this institution had the opportunity to see the film "Unknown Stalingrad" about the Great Patriotic War produced by TV BRICS and Moja Media (TV BRICS International Media Partner in South Africa). The screening was timed to coincide with the 77th anniversary of the Victory in 2022.
