Kazakhstan's cultural heritage to become available in digital format
Kazakhstan is actively introducing digital technologies into the cultural sphere, creating virtual spaces for studying the national heritage. One of the flagship projects is an information and education platform that works in eight languages, Culture and Information Minister Aida Balayeva said.
"The main task is to visit our country's museums, theatres and exhibitions without leaving home, to get acquainted with the golden fund of Kazakhstan's television," Kazinform, a partner of TV BRICS, reports the Minister's words.
The Ministry is also implementing a number of other digital initiatives aimed at expanding access to cultural values. These include dubbing content into Kazakh using artificial intelligence (AI), introducing a sign language translation system in the state language for hearing impaired citizens and creating a national digital knowledge base with AI elements.
