The premiere screening of the TV BRICS documentary The Golden Coast of the Arctic takes place in Africa
The special project of the media network is dedicated to innovations that make hard work in the Far North easier and safer
TV BRICS documentary "The Golden Coast of the Arctic" (2023, 24 min., directed by Andrey Porshnyak, written by Ksenia Komissarova) premiered on the Mozambique Public Television channel TVM and the South African channel Umthala TV (South Africa). The special project is dedicated to new technologies used at the Mayskoye gold deposit, one of the largest in the world.
As many years ago, people from the Big Earth help to explore the permafrost territory. They come to the Golden Coast of the Arctic to find solutions to non-trivial problems in harsh climatic and geological conditions – to achieve what is difficult to imagine even in theory.
The TV BRICS documentary is about innovations that make hard work in the Far North easier and safer.
"In addition to educational and musical programmes, TV BRICS documentaries are now available to us. The audience of our TV channel watches the content provided by the international network with great interest. I am sure that the documentary film "The Golden Coast of the Arctic" will impress our viewers. Thanks to it, Mozambicans will be able to broaden their understanding of Russia," said Floriberto Fernandez, programme director of TVM channel, which has an audience of about 25 million people.

This is the fourth film presented to viewers of Umthala TV, which broadcasts in all eleven South African languages. The channel previously premiered the TV BRICS-produced documentaries "More precious than gold", as well as the first international documentary media project by Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa, Dostoevsky Intercontinental, produced by the joint editorial team of TV BRICS.
In January 2024, the film "The Golden Coast of the Arctic" premiered on the Brazilian TV channel COM Brasil.
