Vladimir Putin congratulates winners of the Partitura competition for young composers

A gala concert of the winners and prize-winners of the III All-Russian competition of Young Composers "Partitura" took place in Moscow. TV BRICS is the media partner of the event.

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent a welcoming speech to the participants, jury and audience of the event.

"It is gratifying that an impressive number of applications have been submitted for participation in the current contest. This is convincing evidence that the project has taken place, gained authority and wide recognition. And today it continues to develop, involves gifted young people in its orbit, opens new creative horizons for them. It helps aspiring composers to find their way in the bright, immense space of contemporary Russian culture"

The concert took place in the Great Hall of the Moscow Conservatory. The concert was held in the Great Hall of the Tchaikovsky Moscow State Conservatory. The music of the winners in eight different categories was performed by the Moscow State Academic Symphony Orchestra and the Chamber Choir of the Moscow Conservatory.

In addition, before the concert and award ceremony, the contestants attended masterclasses by composers Aleksander Zatsepin and Aleksey Rybnikov. There was also a panel discussion devoted to modern trends in the world of music and opportunities for professional and creative realisation of young talents. The discussion was attended by Irada Ayupova, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Tatarstan, CEO and Artistic Director of the "Orpheus" Russian State Musical TV and Radio Centre, composer Pyotr Koryagin, Advisor to the Russian President's Department for Public Projects, as well as music critic and pianist Dmitry Onishchenko.

This year, a record number of contestants took part in "Partitura": 1094 works were received from 101 cities. The winning compositions will be played on the classical music radio Orpheus, and their scores will be placed in a publicly accessible electronic archive.

The Partita competition has been running since 2020. It is organised by the Foundation for Innovative Development of Culture, Education and Science (FIRCON) and the Russian State Music TV and Radio Centre "Orpheus" with the support of the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives.
