Durban Botanic Gardens
Durban Botanic Gardens is Africa's oldest horticultural space and was the centre of experimental horticulture to find the most suitable crops to grow in our sub-tropical climate which made these gardens instrumental in the establishment of the sugar industry in Natal.
These gardens have become a quiet haven for residents and wildlife. The Gardens not only contain a variety of plants from every continent but also form part of a vital corridor linking the cities green spaces for indigenous fauna and flora to flourish.
