Against the backdrop of emerging markets, India is projected to remain fastest growing major economy in world
India's growth in 2025 is projected at 6.6 per cent, China's at 4.9 per cent and Brazil's at 1.9 per cent
Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said at his election rallies that more than 230 million people have been lifted out of poverty in the last 10 years.
In terms of infrastructure development, India's power sector has achieved 100 per cent electrification in the last ten years. Rural areas now have 20 hours of daily electricity availability while urban areas have 23.5 hours. This is reported by ANI, a partner of TV BRICS.
India has also become the third largest producer of renewable energy in the world. India is actively promoting research and innovation in the hydrogen energy sector through various incentive schemes.
India's roads and highways sector has grown rapidly over the last decade. By the end of December 2023, India had about 66.71 km of road network, which is the second largest in the world.
