China develops media communications with BRICS countries through TV BRICS International Media Network
TV BRICS is strengthening its information exchange in the Asian region and starts cooperation with the Global Times, the leading newspaper of the People's Republic of China. The agreement on joint activities was signed by Fan Zhengwei, President and Editor-in-Chief of the Global Times and Ivan Polyakov, Chairman of TV BRICS.
The partners' cooperation is aimed at strengthening ties between the BRICS countries in the field of mass communications and shaping an objective international agenda. The Global Times and TV BRICS will exchange information materials, jointly produce media products and organise professional internships for their staff. One of the common news topics will be the Russian and Chinese Years of Culture (2024-2025).
The Chinese daily newspaper the Global Times was founded in 1993. It specialises in covering global topics and broadcasts the Chinese point of view on international issues. The Global Times is considered one of the leading media outlets in the People's Republic of China, with an audience of more than 500 million readers. The newspaper is published in Chinese, English, and in the format of the Global Times news portal. The publication's reporters work in various countries around the world.

The partners of TV BRICS in China are about a dozen of major media outlets, including Xinhua News Agency, Northeast Asia Today news portal, Global Television Network (CGTN), and People’s Daily Online. During the period of joint work, several major interstate media projects have been implemented. For example, in 2023 CGTN and TV BRICS prepared a special programme "Point of View" for the XV BRICS Summit in South Africa and an expert media project for the Third International Forum "One Belt, One Road" in China, and in 2024 a joint edition of the BIZtalk show on financial cooperation between the BRICS countries. At the invitation of the Chinese side, representatives of the TV BRICS took part in the Third Global Innovative Media Forum (Beijing) and the 6th World Media Summit (Urumqi).
In Asia, TV BRICS also cooperates with the media of Armenia, Vietnam, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, and the UAE.
