Egyptian officials report on modernisation of health system
In a meeting convened at the initiative of Egyptian Health Minister Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, representatives of various agencies discussed the implementation of the National Emergency and Public Safety Network project. This is reported by Daily News Egypt, a partner of TV BRICS.
Health Ministry officials reported on the establishment of a central emergency department under the Egypt Care Project and optimising the work of hospitals in Fayoum Governorate.
Ghaffar assessed ongoing initiatives, which include establishing a decision-making centre using big data analytics technologies, equipping operating theatres in the governorates, and automating hospital processes.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, one of the representatives of the Ministry of Health, also mentioned the opening of the control room of the Central Department of Emergency and Intensive Care. He recalled the ongoing partnership with the Egyptian Ambulance Authority in 21 governorates, as well as efforts to modernise the infrastructure of 25 psychiatric hospitals.
Hossam Abdel Ghaffar revealed that the inspection of nine hospitals is now being finalised and plans are underway to develop their information networks. He added that the installation of new equipment in the clinics is already 80 per cent complete.
