Programme for the India Fest Spring Festival (Holi and Maslenitsa) is announced

Unique choreographic performances and master classes are awaiting the guests of the festival

On Wednesday, 15 March, the state budgetary institution Moscow House of Nationalities, held a press conference of the Russian-Indian Friendship Society "DISHA" in honor of the upcoming India Fest Spring Festival (Holi and Maslenitsa) on 19 March.

Dr. Rameshwar Singh, founder and president of the Russian-Indian Friendship Society "DISHA", spoke at the opening ceremony. He explained how the upcoming festive event would take place.

According to Rameshwar, the festival will be held in the best traditions of Indian culture: guests will enjoy bright costumes, unique choreography, workshops (yoga, dance, rangoli, mehendi), Indian treats and pancakes and much more. In addition, the festival will include a presentation of Ustyug painting and the DISHA magazine, as well as the screening of documentary films about India.

Holi, also known as the festival of colours, is one of the most colourful and fun festivals celebrated in India and in other countries.

TV BRICS is a media partner of the upcoming event.

Sergei Anufrienko, director of the Moscow House of Nationalities, spoke about the institution's work aimed at developing bilateral relations with India: "In February 2023, the conference 'Strategic Partnership between India and Russia: new Challenges and Opportunities in a Changing World Order' was held in New Delhi. If we talk about work at our level, it should be noted that the Moscow House of Nationalities assisted public organisations in carrying out projects representing the national culture and traditions of India. Last year, we hosted an exhibition of paintings and drawings by artist Konstantin Polyakov "The Sunny Land of Bharat" and a concert by artists of the Omkara Indian Dance Theatre organized by the Divya Tala Centre for Oriental Art Studies".

The non-profit Russian-Indian Friendship Society "DISHA" was established to implement bilateral cultural, creative, intellectual, economic projects and satisfy professional and amateur interests of Russians and Indians. It is a new bridge between the two countries.

The goals of the organization are to exchange cultural and artistic heritage of Russia and India, to promote business relations between both countries, to bring together Russian-Indian families, lovers of India and Russia and different Russian cultural organizations.

Russian-Indian Friendship Society "DISHA" headed by Dr. Rameshwar Singh actively participates in cultural, sports, scientific and patriotic events organised by the Moscow House of Nationalities and national public organisations of Moscow.
