Russia and Iran to broaden their cultural ties through the Role of Friendship Festival
The international "Role of Friendship" Festival will act as a link between the two rich and antiquated civilisations and will be held in memory of Russian artist Sergey Andriaka. This is reported by Tehran Times, a partner of TV BRICS.
Through the universal language of art, it will give artists from the two nations a chance to share their perspectives and interpretations of one another's cultures and civilisations.
The festival jury will select 100 Russian and 100 Iranian artists' pieces, and the winners will receive financial as well as non-financial awards. All 200 works will be demonstrated throughout Russia and Iran.
The Academy of Watercolour and Fine Arts of Sergey Andriaka, together with the Embassy of Iran in Moscow, is organising the event. The Iranian people will see the pieces at an exhibition in Tehran following the conclusion of the Russian exhibition.
Sergey Andriaka (1958–2024) is a Russian watercolour artist and one of the greatest masters of contemporary watercolour painting.
