Russian and Chinese entrepreneurs to discuss economic cooperation at the Eastern Economic Forum-2024 roadshow in China

On 8 and 9 August, China will host the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF) visiting session "Prospects for Interregional Cooperation between the Russian Far East and Guangdong and Heilongjiang Provinces". TV BRICS International Media Network is a media partner of the event.

The Russian delegation will include representatives of the authorities and business community of the Far East. Together with their Chinese partners, they will discuss the economic and investment potential of Russia's eastern regions, as well as promising areas of co-operation with China.

In addition, a group of representatives from the Russian side will visit enterprises in Guangdong province.

Earlier, on the eve of the EEF-2024, the New Horizons forum was held in Chita, attended by representatives of Russia, China and Mongolia.

This year Vladivostok is hosting the Eastern Economic Forum from 3 to 6 September. The EEF is the most important platform for developing cooperation in the Asia-Pacific region, one of the centres of the modern multipolar world, said Anton Kobyakov, Advisor to the President of Russia. This year's main theme is "The Far East in 2030. Joining Efforts, Creating Opportunities". In particular, the focus will be on the development of innovative technologies, transport and energy.

The forum guests will enjoy not only a business, but also a cultural and sports programme. At the Far Eastern Street exhibition, they will get acquainted with the culture of the peoples of the Far East and the countries participating in the forum. In addition, the EEF Games will be held, where visitors will see hockey, figure skating, curling and yachting competitions.

The Eastern Economic Forum has been held regularly since 2015. Last year it was attended by more than 7,000 people from 62 countries, including 2,400 business representatives. The most numerous delegations are from China, India, Myanmar, the Philippines and Laos.
