Russian Foreign Minister and Brazil's First Deputy Foreign Minister discussed coordination in the UN, BRICS and G20

Sergey Lavrov and Maria da Rocha met in Moscow


Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed with the Secretary General of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry (First Deputy Minister) Maria da Rocha the coordination of efforts in the UN, BRICS and the G20. This is reported by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

They showed mutual interest in close coordination of efforts of the two countries in the UN, BRICS and G20, the ministry said.

The representative of the Brazilian Foreign Ministry came to the Russian capital as co-chair of the Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technical Cooperation for its 12th meeting.

During the conversation with his counterpart, Sergey Lavrov positively assessed the state and prospects of strategic partnership relations between the two countries, emphasised the important role played by the foreign ministries in their progressive development.

They paid special attention to the issues of further strengthening the bilateral political dialogue and practical cooperation with a focus on its material and cultural and humanitarian components.
