On Thursday, 20 April, the XII All-Russian Expert of the Year 2023 awarding ceremony took place. The ceremony honours the leaders who have implemented significant social and business initiatives in Russia. The winning projects will receive federal recognition.

TV BRICS Media Network was recognised in the International Projects and Media category. The prestigious competition was attended by media outlets that shape the country's information landscape, individual editorial projects dedicated to significant topics, as well as leading international projects.

"From our point of view, TV BRICS International Media Network has launched and is actively developing, an exclusive format of international cooperation between BRICS media, the idea of which is actually inspired by the great experience of our team's journalistic work. It is an information exchange, an exchange of content produced by the editorial boards of the national media in the BRICS countries. A simple idea turned out to be unique," stressed Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS Media Network.

"It is particularly important for us that our work has been appreciated by the expert community. We are closely following the projects of the "Expert. Centre of Analytics" and hope that the award, which has an obvious federal scale and recognition of professionals, will soon reach an international level, and the expert jury will select the best in each category among participants from many countries, while demonstrating the experience of Russian specialists, industry leaders. And we, together with our international network of partners, will be ready to tell the world about it on the platforms of the largest media outlets in the BRICS+ countries"

The landmark award was organized by the "Expert. Centre of Analytics" (Expert North-West - analytical business magazine, published since 1999) under the auspices of the World Club of Petersburgers.

The Expert Council consists of renowned representatives of business, science, social and cultural institutions, and authorities. Each year, regional experts and federal figures are added to the council. For many years the Board has been chaired by Mikhail Piotrovsky, Director of the State Hermitage.

"The word 'expert' is a very important one and in our case it has several meanings. Firstly, 'Expert' is a magazine, one of the most respectable and serious ones. Secondly, these are the members of the jury who judge the entries. And finally, the experts are those who win prizes. Expert is first of all experience, which gives people the right to judge," he emphasized.

The aim of the XII Expert of the Year 2023 award is to identify leaders who have implemented breakthrough ideas in business and significant public initiatives. The annual award traditionally becomes an open platform to recognise experts in the most relevant areas of business and public life in Russia, highlighting the work of the business community in the regions and nationwide.
