Droupadi Murmu: Indian port infrastructure needs to be further strengthened
Indian President Droupadi Murmu spoke at an event organised by the Paradip Port Authority, where she expressed the need to strengthen infrastructure and make Indian ports more efficient in line with global standards. This is reported by Trinity Mirror, a partner of TV BRICS.
Murmu emphasised the importance of maritime trade for India's economic development and inaugurated the Multi Model Logistic Park and laid the foundation stone of a new reservoir and water treatment plant for the port town.
She also said that Paradip Port has the potential to become the largest port on the east coast and expressed confidence that the inaugurated Multi Model Logistic Park will give a new impetus to trade.
