Ethiopia's ambassador urges India's business leaders to invest in African country

The diplomat listed the benefits of this decision

Ethiopia's ambassador to India Demeke Atnafu spoke at an Indian event that brought together 110 business leaders from various industries. The diplomat urged companies in the South Asian country to invest in Ethiopia. This is reported by ENA.

The ambassador listed the factors that ensure the economic potential of the state he represented: abundant labour, cheap electricity and water, natural resources and a favourable financial climate. In addition, he pointed out the potential of Ethiopia's agriculture and processing industries, as well as the mining and tourism sectors.

Demeke Atnafu invited Indian companies to invest in these and other progressive sectors of the country's economy such as telecommunications, finance, transport and logistics, healthcare and housing.

In November 2023, the sixth session of the India-Ethiopia Joint Trade Committee was held in Addis Ababa where the two sides agreed to promote bilateral trade.
