European countries join international information exchange via TV BRICS
European states are joining media cooperation with BRICS+ countries through the TV BRICS International Media Network. The Kingdom of Sweden’s NewsVoice portal will participate in the international information exchange. The agreement on joint work was signed by the CEO and Editor-in-Chief of NewsVoice, Torbjorn Sassersson, and the CEO of TV BRICS, Janna Tolstikova.
The partners' cooperation is focused on content exchange, joint production of media materials, and staff training in media. With the support of TV BRICS, Sweden will gain access to the latest information on the activities of BRICS+ countries from national media sources and will be able to promote its own agenda in the international media space.
NewsVoice, founded in 2011 and based in Stockholm, specialises in public issues, healthcare, science, new technologies, music, and culture, publishing journalistic investigations. It adheres to a multicultural ideology.
"This media cooperation will make it easier for people in Sweden to better understand the significance of BRICS, how international cooperation and trade can ensure over-all development and how the Global South and East can gain great livings standards for their peoples. Also BRICS promotes a safer multipolar world," said Torbjorn Sassersson.
Janna Tolstikova, CEO of TV BRICS, noted that Sweden, represented by NewsVoice, has become the 26th country to join the regular content exchange through the international media network. TV BRICS content is currently presented in over 80 countries worldwide. She emphasised that the network is open not only to BRICS member states and partners. Media outlets from Argentina, Armenia, Venezuela, Vietnam, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Colombia, Kyrgyzstan, Mozambique, Serbia, Tunisia, and Chile also work with TV BRICS on equal terms.
Moreover, the media network continuously expands the expertise of its editorial content on international cooperation topics. Today, the TV BRICS expert base includes around 500 specialists from various countries, including Europe. For example, detailed interviews have been given to Helga Larouche, head of the Schiller Institute (Germany), and Richard Sakwa, Professor at the University of Kent (United Kingdom).
