Funding for environmental projects receives significant boost in China

Special attention will be paid to the development of regions outside the country's largest cities

The New Development Bank (NDB) and a major financial institutions have signed a syndicated loan agreement totalling 1.2 billion yuan (US$166.9 million) to finance green leasing projects. This is reported by the official website of the New Development Bank (NDB).

The agreement contributes to the country's transition to a new growth model focused on low-carbon development, climate resilience and environmental protection. The financing will be used to implement projects in the areas of wastewater treatment, solid waste disposal and the use of metallurgical waste gas for energy production.

Representatives of financial institutions emphasised the importance of cooperation in implementing national strategies for environmental protection and sustainable development, and expressed their readiness to continue supporting green initiatives, contributing to high-quality economic and social development.
